Sand is the final form of us.
When a material becomes small enough, it’s classified as sand. And once it erodes enough, once it becomes smooth and spherical, it retains that shape for eternity. The grain is purified, the grain is immortal.
In a given pile of sand, there may be volcanic ashes, warplanes, toys. To see sand is to see history.
So look at us, a pile of sand, each a different grain working towards becoming smooth and purified. Look at me, a pile of sand, a mixture of grains, a history that forms my shape. Look at you, a pile of sand.
